On February 14th, many celebrate a day to acknowledge love, especially the romantic kind. Here at In The Dollhouse,  there is another reason to celebrate love and that is due to the anniversary of the book. Yes! It is the 2-year anniversary of this fictional tale of a common housewife and mother living in Southern California, sharing intricate details of the livelihood of the everyday female nurturer. It may not be that exciting to those still searching for a perfect love, but for those curious enough, it can elevate senses on a different level. The second book is in process and will be due out soon. It cannot be specified when the book will be available, but work is in progress to ensure its availability. After all, the series must go on. For, even if a few learn from its deeper meaning, they will come to understand that yes, most of it is pure imagination from the heart and soul. This post on the second day of the new year proves how busy I am as a parent, worker, household organizer, and plain human being. Yes! I am, as most of us are on Earth, a plain human being, no matter what beauty, wisdom, or loads of love I offer to those around me who may or may not see it. I am me; you are you - together we can be a lot more if we just allow our potential and well-being to grow equally. Like so many other writers, I try to find a special time to write in the most luscious of settings. Sure, a fireplace, oak desk, and trays filled with treats and lattes would be the most ideal setting, but being real writers in the real world, most of us take what time and opportunity we can get and roll with it. Admittedly, I am running behind in Book 2 of my series as I cannot find the file nor do I have time to look for it. It is not entirely like losing a child, but it does crack my heart that I cannot work on it with the attention and care I have to finish such a well-polished...

I had the idea to change the blog on this site to one of happiness found at home. Many persons, mostly moms, get a bit overwhelmed when it comes to cleaning, organizing, and running a household; yet, most are told to just keep going, put on a smile, and do not sweat! Sweating is good for releasing toxins from the body, though. I wonder what many (parents) think about being so busy to the point of wanting to go stir-crazy when he or she finds 'emselves at home - alone. Will that person find him or her self sleepy or end up doing something wild while staying at peace with one's self? None of us can really tell when it comes to the story of family! And, that is what we all are... family. Some members manage to stay in touch, some manage to get along, and some drift apart. That is okay, too! Vacation Time. From the time I had decided to self-publish, I realized I had also needed some time to unwind. I have been using the last six months to relax with and focus on family. It has been incredible and I love to spend time with my family. Although I must look into promotion, marketing, and a bunch of how-to's now that I have published my first fictional novel, the journey has been quite unique. I am still so proud of my book and cannot wait to share it with so many others. The purpose of my book is to bring more information on marriage, family, relationships, and love. I hope many take the time to read it, as well as possibly find it somewhat useful.

From Chapter 10, " At The Pharmacy" As I look at various beauty products, I think about the same, daunting look I have had for years. When I worked at CAL Mastery, I often got my hair and nails done almost every month. I also wore a lot of red clothing, as well as red lipstick. Now that I am mostly home, however, I have let myself go, tremendously! I have not bought anything new for myself since the kids started to play sports and do their music lessons. I had believed I was one of those "supermoms"—the ones who seemingly do not put much emphasis into their looks, but instead, focus on being their children’s number one fan. My book is published! I am officially an author. Although it took incredible time, dedication, stamina, and strength to finish In The Dollhouse, it is my dream come true! Not only am I able to tell a story, but I have completed a compilation of my deepest thoughts and imagination, and have even attached a part of my soul to it.
